Jobs at the Job Killing Factory: Watch Live on Sunday 1 PM EST.
Plus Springfield, the Democratic Tea Party, and how opioids paved the way for Appalachian Data Centers.
JD Vance learned that a woman in Springfield, Ohio had gone through her Haitian neighbor’s trash looking for her missing cat. She found “something that looked like skin.” He never followed up. Instead, the rumor that Haitians were “eating dogs and cats” made it into Donald Trump’s stinky mouth on national television.
We followed that thread in a short documentary with More Perfect Union. It won our second Emmy last month.
Since then, the administration has scapegoated Haitians for problems created by the tailspin of late-stage capitalism. Now the Supreme Court has struck down Temporary Protected Status, leaving hundreds of thousands of Haitians nationwide, and thousands in Springfield, subject to deportation to a country still reeling from violence.
We’ll talk about it Sunday.
Speaking of late-stage capitalism… have you gotten a load of all this democratic socialism recently?
The Democratic Tea Party I’ve been summoning nightly since the predictable demise of Kamala Harris is finally here. James Carville told Democrats to “play dead” and wait out Trump. Voters told Carville and his ilk “uno reverse”. The pundits say it’ll only work in Blue York City. I say there’s a lot of liberal cities in red states where Mamdani fever could deliver.
And, we pray the lord delivers Appalachia from a wave of data centers – then start organizing.
America’s favorite sacrifice zone for rich people to make money and leave a mess is getting more of the same. We’ll discuss the data center proposed in my own town of Wheeling, West Virginia, the others throughout the region, and the part more people should talk about: how the opioid crisis hollowed out Appalachia enough for the data center boom of Governor Patrick Morrisey’s steamy fantasies.
But… jobs…
Don’t forget, my friends, AI is a supercomputer designed to take jobs. In a different world (…much…much different), that could be a good thing, but we have to build it.

And because of that, we’re allowed to say that 400 of the richest people in history are running humanity into the ground to preserve levels of private wealth that make the United States defense budget look like a piss ant. Try saying that on CNN.
